pool complex in Croatia. The Svetice Pool complex includes 50m and 25m pools, an 8x6m children's pool, a wellness area, gym<\/a> and restaurant. It is the main urban swimming pool complex in east of Zagreb.<\/a><\/p>\n

The pool complex for sports and entertainment<\/a> purposes is located in an urban situation between the urban fabric of central Zagreb, the socialist modern settlements of prefabricated concrete slabs and the Maksimir landscape park. Surrounded by football and athletics fields, it brings a permanent public program to the area.<\/p>\n\"pool\n

Therefore, the pool has the potential as a social concentrator. Although the program was limited to indoor pools<\/a>, the design tries to place as much outdoor activities and public space as possible.<\/p>\n

This is achieved by turning the main activity of swimming into a public event that can be seen from many angles when using the public roof walk over the east wing or the bridge-like restaurant.<\/p>\n\"pool\n

The spatial conception of the project is therefore the construction of a space for everyone, while the separation between the spaces for swimmers and spectators, as well as the separation between the interior and the exterior<\/a> reduced to a thin layer.<\/p>\n

The linear organization of the building follows the logic of private and public spaces as well as serviced and service spaces. The structure is distinguished between the low side slabs of one floor and the metal structure that bridges the vast space of the swimming hall. To emphasize the spatial continuity, the facades of the side panels are treated equally externally as internally.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
