Superhouse is a brand and an ethos \u2013 a vision of what is possible in modern times<\/a> residential architecture. The Superhouse does not want to create<\/a> nothing but the 30 most extraordinary homes in the world for the super rich.<\/p>\n

The Superhouse has been created by Magnus Str\u00f6m, founder of Str\u00f6m Architects, based on the South Coast of England. The inspiration for the Superhouse idea first came when Str\u00f6m worked alongside a world-renowned shipbuilder.<\/p>\n\"Villa\n

This is when Superyachts first came to his attention and raised the questions: "Why couldn't houses also reach the same heights of design quality and construction?" and "Why do 'Superyachts' exist but 'Superhouses' don't?"<\/p>\n

Superhouse's mission is to design such homes and focus solely on creating them without the distraction of other industry sectors. They will do this through a holistic approach. not only in the design of a Superhouse, but also in the individual lifestyle from which each home will be born.<\/p>\n

When a Superhouse is commissioned, the investment is not just in a design for a house, it is the design for this lifestyle. Superhouse doesn't just provide the architecture, it provides the thinking and process behind all the free elements that go into delivering a completely unique Superhouse, anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n\"Villa\n

Villa in the Balearic Islands<\/h2>\n

Superhouses should be the most beautiful, unique and designed homes possible, but all created through a very close working relationship with their owners. Superhouses want to design their dream home. There will only be 30 Superhouses in total \u2013 like a limited edition series of art or watches.<\/p>\n

To emphasize this, each house will have its own number discreetly engraved somewhere on the facade. This Superhouse \u2013 S 00\/30 is located in a private bay on an uncharted Mediterranean island and is accessible via a long winding road through the mountainous landscape or via helicopter for quick transport to the mainland.<\/p>\n\"Villa\n

A walled entry courtyard of local stone creates a sense of arrival \u2013 mirroring one's presence in the sheltered, rocky bay, while offering views of the house against the Mediterranean Sea. The design concept is very simple: two L-shaped stone walls are located in the cradle of the house.<\/p>\n

Within these walls are two separate timber volumes containing separate functions. The first contains service elements such as kitchen, shops and staff accommodation.<\/p>\n

The brilliant interior<\/h2>\n

The kitchen and dining room are separated by sliding screens, which can be sunk into the floor to disappear completely and open up the two spaces. This allows for a more open plan when the house is in \u201cfamily mode\u201d, but the kitchen can also be completely closed off when entertaining.<\/p>\n

The second volume includes spa and gym<\/a>. Again, sliding screens are used to allow the volume to open up and really connect the spa and gym interiors with the outdoors.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

There is a staircase leading to the master suite and four junior suites above, allowing guests to step straight down for morning exercise and a swim in the 50m infinity pool.<\/p>\n

There is a private beach with a large dock to accommodate a yacht and tender.
