Swimming pools in the largest and most expensive hotels once had a simple rectangular shape without any particular emphasis on design, details or materials. Those days are gone forever. Every hotel wants to have a distinctive, inventive and impressive swimming pool, paying great attention to the surrounding area and the garden and going to extremes with technologies such as the underwater sound system. A swimming pool today can be on a cliff, in an exotic garden, on the highest floor of a hotel overlooking the whole city, be a "small ocean" or even in the middle of a river.
