The salt electrolysis system is a proven, economical and ecological way of chlorinating pool water without the need for the use of chemical chlorine products. It provides unique advantages over conventional ways of chlorinating your pool water.
\nHEALTH
\nThe pool water is continuously disinfected through the automatic operation of the electrolysis system while avoiding all the undesirable side effects of the chemical stabilizers contained in chlorine products (unpleasant smell, eye and skin irritation, dry hair, etc.). In addition, there is no longer a need to transport and store dangerous chlorine chemicals.
\nECONOMY
\nThe use of chlorination chemicals is stopped as only the pH regulator remains. Salt is not consumed during the closed cycle operation of the electrolysis and only a minimal amount of salt replenishment is required and was lost by washing the filter. In addition, the electrical energy consumed is minimal and the lifetime of the titanium cell is very long.
\nHow does it work;
\nThe way the electrolysis system works is very simple.
\nFirst, the appropriate amount of salt is added to achieve the necessary ratio of 4 grams per liter, about 9 times less salt than seawater. The electrolysis system detects the amount of salt and starts its operation as soon as the water recirculation starts.
\nThe titanium electrode converts salt (sodium chloride NaCl) into sodium hypochlorite (HClO-), the chlorine disinfectant that destroys harmful organic matter (algae, bacteria, fungi, etc.) by oxidizing it.
\nAt the completion of the disinfection cycle, the sodium hypochlorite returns to sodium chloride to start this closed cycle from the beginning. Thus the salt is not consumed and its ratio remains constant.
