1. In classically constructed swimming pools, with reinforced concrete, where, during its construction, several "experts" have "paraded", in the sense that the "handyman" of the construction industry has, there is a great risk of leaks, corrosion, poor adhesion of the building materials, detachment of tiles or rapid calcification of the of paint in paint pools. The renovation in paint pools it is done by removing the calcified surfaces and applying new paint materials. In the pools we have mosaics or tiles, the repairs mainly concern the sealing of the joints, which as long as the appropriate sealing materials of companies known for their quality are used, the problem will be solved, for more than 10 years. If there are tile or mosaic detachments, a renovation must be done from scratch, removing all the tiles, their adhesive and cement mortar, as well as checking the insulation. If there is no insulation, two layers must be applied with "DOMOLASTIC" or a similar material from another company (MAPELASTIC, AQUAMAT ELASTIC, etc.). In the first "hand", polyester mesh must be applied to the surfaces of the vertical walls and to the wall joints with bottom.

The spreadable pool insulation materials must be of the "ELASTIC" type, suitable for drinking water (parameter W) and permanent immersion, as defined by the relevant regulations.

Another reliable insulation material is "PENETRON", which works excellently when added to ready-mixed concrete during concreting. But it also works well as a renovation insulation, as long as the application crew is trained and authorized to apply, by the supplying company. There are other pool finishing materials, such as the mixtures of quartz sand, pebbles (pebble tech), with admixtures of natural pebbles or glass, in various particle sizes. These materials are safe, only when they are accompanied by the written 10-year guarantee of strong Brand names, with parallel training and application authorization of the relevant technical staff. Analogous materials of final coatings are also the so-called "Plasters", "Eco finish”, polyuria, which require the use of application machines.

3. For pool edges, especially overflow pools, it must be done waterproofing, with the application of suitable materials, which protect them from corrosion. Due to the abundance of waterproofing materials on the market, it is advisable to repeat it every two years, unless a quality waterproofing has been used, which usually covers the lips for a 10-year period.
4. Finally, during the renovation, it is advisable to replace the worn water inlets, well bottom that may be dangerous for new leaks in the near future, light fixtures and make spot insulation using two-component epoxy paste, around the perimeter of these materials.
